Dun… dun…
Dun… dun…
Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun.
Get ready to dive into shark-infested waters, because honestly, I was rooting for the shark to win in this book.
Let me make myself clear: the characters here are absolutely revolting. Ellen Brody—yes, that Ellen—is a nightmare in human form. From bizarre, unsettling choices to behavior that made me seriously question her morality, she’s the kind of character you love to hate… and maybe even hope the shark eats first.
Then there’s the rest of the cast: awkward, wealthy, and occasionally charming—but ultimately, deeply unpleasant. Sprinkle in casual racism and homophobia, and suddenly the humans are more horrifying than the predator in the water.
If you think the shark is the scariest part of Jaws, think again.
